Onie Bayode

Onie has sixteen years of experience as a Management Consultant  at Visa and KPMG with specialization focused on growth strategy, market entry strategy, and customer strategy across multiple industries (financial services, telecommunications, and public sector) in Africa and the Middle East. She is passionate about changing the narrative of Africa as the ‘dark’ continent.

Nana Dufie Addo

Dufie is the Chief Financial Officer of mPharma Data Inc., a venture-backed emerging market healthcare technology company. Prior to joining mPharma, she worked as an Investment Officer at the Washington State Investment Board ($100 billion AUM), where she developed investment theses and engaged with investment managers and strategic partners to assess and allocate investments across Private Equity, Real Estate, Public Equity, Tangible Assets and Fixed Income asset classes. She spent 3 years consulting in the telecom, oil & gas and mining industries with key clients including AngloGold Ashanti and Vodacom Congo.  She began her career in investment banking and project finance at Lehman Brothers (currently Barclays) and IFC where she covered Real Estate, Retail, Agribusiness, Oil & Gas and Healthcare sectors.

She co-founded the Stanford University Africa Entrepreneurship Network, a platform that uses the design thinking framework to help companies in Africa and other frontier markets overcome financial, operational, and marketing bottlenecks. She has participated on various advisory boards including Vodacom Congo and Golden Palm Investments and is currently a board member of Stratcomm Africa.

She has an MSc. in Chemical Engineering from Stanford University and a BA in Chemistry and Math from Mount Holyoke College.

Edith Akati

Edith is a Product Manager at mPharma. She is a finance professional with a demonstrated history of providing excellent and sustainable business solutions across countries and industries. She has a Bachelor of Science (BSc) focused in Business Administration (Accounting option) from the University of Ghana Business School.

Sarah Ngamau

Sarah has over 10 years of Private Equity experience and is currently a Managing Director at a private equity firm in Nairobi, Kenya.

​

Based in Nairobi, Kenya, Sarah is responsible for the identification, due diligence, structuring and execution of private equity transactions as well as monitoring of portfolio investments. Previously, Sarah was Vice President at an independent investment management firm focused on alternative assets in emerging and frontier markets with a keenness on Sub Saharan Africa.

​

Prior to that, Sarah was Junior partner and Investment Manager at TBL Mirror Fund, a private equity fund investing in East Africa. At TBL she was involved in sourcing, screening and evaluating new investment opportunities on technical, financial and economic viability mainly in the ICT, FMCG and Healthcare sectors. In her position, she represented the fund on Finance and Audit board committees i. She also participated on secondment in operational roles at portfolio companies. In addition to her rich background in private equity, Sarah has wide experience in Finance and Audit functions having worked with, a Kenyan state corporation in procuring and distribution of medical supplies, and with a boutique Audit firm. She is a mentor to several accelerators and innovation hubs among them the Growth Hub and lab, platforms designed to incubate and accelerate startups to success and helping entrepreneurs grow their ventures to strong commercial businesses.

Sarah received her MBA with a concentration in Strategic Management from the University of Nairobi. She holds a BEd in Economics & Accounting (First Class Honors) from University of Nairobi and is a Certified Public Accountant.
