Bridging Female Entrepreneurship Financing Gap

OUR IMPACT PROGRESS IN AFRICA

Since inception, ImpactHER has been committed to empowering African women entrepreneurs by providing them with the necessary digital training and resources to grow their small and medium-sized businesses.

With a focus on bridging the gender gap in entrepreneurship, we have  successfully trained over 62,000 female entrepreneurs across 53 African countries, helping to improve their businesses and livelihoods.

Why HER?

Her Potential, Our Priority

“A $300 billion gap in financing exists for formal, women-owned small businesses, and more than 70 percent of women-owned small and medium enterprises have inadequate or no access to financial services.” ― Ifc.org

ImpactHER is an award-winning not-for-profit organization awarded at the African Union as the Best Women SME (small and medium sized enterprises) Support Organization in Africa; we empower African female entrepreneurs by bridging the gender business financing gap so as to help them realize their full economic potential.

Our ultimate goal is to utilize our institutional investing experience to prepare best-in-class African female market leaders. We do this by training African female entrepreneurs on how to build scalable businesses and access institutional investors.

We believe that empowering African female entrepreneurs is critical to building the African economy and spurring economic growth.

Global Goals

ImpactHER Contribution To The SDGs

ImpactHER is fully dedicated to advancing sustainable development and actively supports multiple Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). By empowering women entrepreneurs and expanding their businesses, we play a vital role in promoting Gender Equality (SDG 5) and reducing inequalities (SDG 10). Our efforts also contribute significantly to SDG 8, which aims to achieve Decent Work and Economic Growth.

Additionally, we actively contribute to SDG 4 by creating quality educational opportunities for women in the entrepreneurial sphere. Recognizing that achieving SDG 17 requires collaborative efforts, we actively seek partnerships with like-minded organizations, governments, and stakeholders. These partnerships enhance our ability to work towards the goals, fostering a spirit of cooperation and amplifying the impact of our work.

Furthermore, our initiatives have a positive ripple effect on other SDGs, including SDG 1, targeting the eradication of poverty, and SDG 2, focusing on achieving zero hunger. ImpactHER's multi-faceted approach significantly contributes to the overall progress of sustainable development.
